Nexomium 40 is indicated in adults for: Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): Treatment of esophageal ulcers caused by reflux. - Long-term treatment after intravenous prophylaxis of peptic ulcer rebleeding. - Treatment of Zollinger Ellison syndrome. Nexomium 40 is indicated in adolescents 12 years of age and older for: Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): Treatment of esophageal ulcers caused by reflux.

*Adults: Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Treatment of esophageal ulcers caused by reflux: Oral 40 mg, 1 time / day for 4 weeks. - Long-term treatment after intravenous prophylaxis of peptic ulcer rebleeding: Oral 40 mg, 1 time / day for 4 weeks. - Treatment of Zollinger - Ellison syndrome: The recommended starting dose is 40 mg, twice a day. When the daily dose is greater than 80 mg/day, the dose should be divided into 2 doses. *Elderly: No dose adjustment is required in the elderly. *Adolescents 12 years of age and older: Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) - Treatment of esophageal ulcers caused by reflux: Oral 40 mg, 1 time / day for 4 weeks. *Children under 12 years old: This dosage form is not suitable for children under 12 years of age.
Contraindications:
- History of hypersensitivity to esomeprazole, benzimidazole subclass, or hypersensitivity to any of the excipients. - Esomeprazole should not be used concomitantly with nelfinavir (see "Drug Interactions").
